1. Scope and roles

This Privacy Policy explains how 17Signal (“we,” “our,” or “us”) handles personal data when you visit 17signal.com, use the 17Signal application and related services, contact us, or purchase a plan (together, the “Service”).

We decide how to process information for our website, accounts, billing, security, and business operations. When a customer uses 17Signal to manage prospects, connected mailboxes, or campaigns, that customer is responsible for its own outreach and privacy obligations. A provider identified at checkout may separately process purchase information under its own privacy notice.

2. Information we handle

Account and support information

Names, business email addresses, organization and workspace details, account credentials, preferences, and information submitted through support or other communications.

Campaign and prospect information

Company and professional contact details, targeting criteria, research results, lists, campaign instructions and messages, replies, suppression records, and activity or performance data. This can include information supplied by customers, connected services, public sources, and business-data providers.

Connected services

When you connect a mailbox, calendar, CRM, or other integration, we process the account identifiers, settings, messages, metadata, and other information needed to perform the actions you authorize, such as sending outreach and handling replies.

Billing, usage, and device information

Plan and credit details, transaction identifiers, billing contact information, purchase and subscription status, IP address, browser and device details, pages and features used, timestamps, and diagnostic or security logs. Checkout providers collect the information needed to complete a purchase and share the transaction details needed to activate and support your account.

3. Where information comes from

We receive information from you and authorized team members, automatically through your use of the Service, from integrations you connect, from service and checkout providers, and from public or licensed business-data sources used for prospect research.

4. How we use information

  • Provide accounts, workspaces, lead research, campaign automation, connected services, analytics, and support.
  • Follow authorized instructions to prepare, send, monitor, and respond to outreach.
  • Administer plans, credits, purchases, subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds.
  • Secure the Service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve performance.
  • Send account and service notices, and marketing communications where permitted.
  • Comply with law, resolve disputes, and protect our rights and those of others.

5. Legal bases where applicable

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service and maintaining useful business information, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where required. You may withdraw consent when processing depends on it.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We and our providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for sign-in, security, preferences, site performance, and analytics. Available consent controls and your browser settings let you manage nonessential technologies. Blocking essential storage may affect the Service.

7. Sharing and checkout

We share information as needed with hosting, storage, security, authentication, analytics, communications, AI, and support providers; business-data suppliers; providers that process purchases; and integrations you authorize. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, parties to a business transaction, or authorities when lawfully required.

The provider identified at checkout may collect purchase, identity, tax, device, and transaction information to process orders, issue receipts, manage subscriptions, prevent fraud, and handle refunds. Its own privacy notice applies to that processing. Our Terms of Service and Refund Policy explain purchases and cancellation.

8. International transfers

We and our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use a recognized transfer safeguard or another lawful mechanism.

9. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Service and for security, accounting, legal, and dispute-resolution purposes. The period depends on the data and its use, customer instructions, and applicable law. When no longer needed, information is deleted or anonymized, subject to backup cycles and legal holds.

We use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and monitoring. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a denied request. You may also be able to complain to a data-protection authority. We may verify your identity before responding.

Send requests to support@17signal.com. If we process information only on behalf of a customer, we may direct you to that customer. You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails using the link in the message; service and security notices may still be sent.

11. Children

The Service is intended for business users aged 18 or older and is not directed to children. Contact us if you believe a child has supplied personal data to the Service.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our Service or practices change. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and give additional notice where required. For privacy questions or requests, email support@17signal.com.
